Nutrition Program Educator

Full Time, Non-Exempt Position, $14.64/hour with benefits package

Primary worksite is in community settings across Dutchess County, with office support in Millbrook, NY and/or satellite offices in Poughkeepsie and Beacon.

Requirements:

Required: Associate's degree in a related field required plus two years related work or volunteer experience, or, High School diploma/equivalent with four years experience in a related field.

Desired: Prior food preparation experience.  Spanish speaking not required but a plus  (Refer to the official position description for further details/requirements).

Primary Role: Utilizing existing curricula and resources, plans, organizes, implements and evaluates nutrition education programs for limited resource adults and youths with assistance from nutrition program coordinator and program staff. Conducts frontline outreach to agencies and organizations within target area including: recruitment activities with frontline caseworkers, feedback to frontline workers and direct recruitment of participants through community activities. Maintains records and documents outreach activities, participant contacts, progress of nutrition education and progress of participant learning. Communicates self-determined goals and daily/weekly work activities to supervisor and fellow team members. Maintains educational materials, supplies, inventories and logs as needed by local agency.  Requires confidentiality in all duties. AA/EEO
