Would you like to start composting at home? Are you interested in improving your current compost experience? Would you like to learn about different systems which can be used in smaller living spaces?

Join us on Saturday February 27, 1-3 pm OR on Tuesday March 1, 3-5 pm for a CCEDC Home Composting class taught by CCEDC staff and Master Gardener volunteers. This is the same class, offered at two times for your convenience. The Snow date for either class is Thursday, March 3, 3-5pm.

We'll discuss how to create quality compost from garden, lawn and kitchen waste; how to handle invasive species and manage diseased plants; how compost works in the soil; how to avoid and manage rodents and structural pests; choosing compost systems and understanding their pros and cons; compost uses; and troubleshooting.

Please register by contacting Nancy at the Cooperative Extension 845-677-8223 ext. 115 or  nh26@cornell.edu later than February 17.
