CAC and EMC Roundtable

This year the CAC and EMC Roundtable is scheduled for Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at 6:30pm at the Farm and Home Center 2715 Rt 44, Millbrook, NY (with a snow date of Thursday, February 27).

We are pleased to announce that this year at the Roundtable, E&E Resource Educator, Michelle Gluck, will be sharing information about our recently launched Dutchess Single-use Plastic Pollution Prevention Campaign (Dutchess S.U.P.P.P.). This project is a partnership with the Duthcess County EMC and Division of Solid Waste Management, amongst other collaborators, and funded through a NYS Pollution Prevention Institute 2019 -2020 Community Grant. Michelle will touch upon the issue of single-use plastics (SUPs) and discuss how CACs can be involved to make for an even stronger and successful impact to reduce single-use plastic usage throughout Dutchess County!

In conjunction with this Campaign, and focus on waste reduction, we are planning the 2020 CAC-EMC Roundtable as a “zero-waste” event. Please join us in supporting this effort by bringing your own mug, thermos, and/or water bottle to the Roundtable! Our E&E team will be doing our best to ensure all waste materials are properly sorted into proper bins for refuse, recycling and composting. We hope this can be the first of many more “zero-waste” events at the Farm and Home Center.
