This presentation focuses on the language used by members of the LGBTQ+ community. The presentation includes basic definitions and the currently accepted terminology. The presenter will also include some very basic ways to support members of the LGBTQ+ community both personally and professionally. DCPC presents this information in a safe and welcoming environment to give audience members the opportunity to ask questions and learn. The focus audience for this presentation is anyone who wants to learn more about the LGBTQ+ community.
Friday March 22nd 6pm
This presentation focuses on how to support the LGBTQ+ community, particularly youth. The main focus is on education surrounding the issues trans youth face and attempting to correct common misconceptions about trans and gender expansive youth. DCPC will present this information in a safe and welcoming environment to give audience members the opportunity to ask questions and learn. The focus audience for this presentation is anyone interested in learning more about LGBTQ+ youth, particularly trans and gender expansive youth.
Both of these free events will be hosted by the Family and Consumer Education Program of Cornell Cooperative Extension Dutchess County
