This workshop will cover farm management options for spotted lanternfly, the impacts of bats on spotted lanternfly populations, using salvaged and reclaimed wood to make bat boxes, and a demonstration of canine egg mass detection. Featuring Ron Haase of Rust & Co. This workshop will take place from 6:00-7:00 in Room A. We will have multiple tables with information, resources, spotted lanternfly samples, and a display of bat boxes made from reclaimed wood courtesy of local woodworker Ron Haase. At 6:30 we will have a demonstration of canine detection of spotted lanternfly egg masses, a practice which has been used in vineyards with find hotspots of spotted lanternfly eggs.
