On Tuesday, November 30, 2018 Cornell Cooperative Extension Dutchess County, along with partners Old Adriance Farm, Dutchess County Association of Realtors, and Wells Fargo, hosted a training for realtors: "Everything You Need to Know About Agriculture Acreage"
The training, presented by Jennifer Fimbel (Senior Agricultural Resource Educator) and Sean Carroll (Community GIS/Environmental Educator), focused on providing information on agricultural districts, agricultural value assessment, and using online mapping tools to assist realtors dealing with clients interested in buying land for farming here in Dutchess County.
The training was well attended, with roughly 40 realtors present, and the setting was Old Adriance Farm's beautifu newly-renovated barn and event space, complete with lunch catered by the farm business.
